CKLC Winter Program: Service-Learning Trip to Fujian, Dec. 20 – Dec. 27, 2019
CKLC is organizing the Winter Program: Service-Learning trip to Fujian from Dec. 20 to Dec. 27, 2019. To raise students’ awareness of cultural reservation and environmental protection, a service-learning trip to Fujian will be organized. There are many places in Fujian with culture heritage worth recognition in its unique architecture and the special way of life associated with it. But in many places of Fujian, this culture is vanishing quickly in the modernization process. Young generation doesn’t know much about the value of this traditional culture yet the responsibility of preservation is on them. A trip organized by Cheong Kun Lun College will help students explore and experience this culture and work together to rejuvenate it. And also students will teach in the village to raise the local students’ awareness of environmental protection, inspire their creativity and imagination. Additionally, the village we are going to is the place where the great grandfather of our donor Mr. Cheong Kun Lun has served as a government official. This trip will also help further the relationship with our donor family.
