10月20日,張崑崙書院成功舉行本學期的第一次高桌晚宴,為重陽節前夕增添了濃厚的文化氛圍。嘉賓和院生們共聚一堂,觥籌交錯,共同享受美食與音樂的盛宴。

張崑崙書院代院長黃民聰教授發表了熱情洋溢的歡迎辭,他強調書院致力於創造一個培養個人成長和求知欲的環境,並鼓勵同學們勇於面對挑戰,積極創造。晚宴中,在航空工程、量子計算、材料化學、藝術收藏和能量治療等領域都有建樹的鄧裕澄博士發表了精彩的演講。鄧博士以其跨行業知識整合的經驗為出發點,啟發同學們興趣是最好的老師,只有不斷培養創造力,才能實現自己的目標。

華燈初上之際,晚宴中,院生們帶來了一場沁人心脾的古箏與鋼琴合奏《戀春風》和充滿青春活力的樂隊演唱。晚宴接近尾聲之際,即將畢業的樂隊院生代表演奏了經典爵士樂曲《秋葉》。這首旋律優美的曲子將秋天的意境娓娓道來,為本次高桌晚宴畫上了完美的句號。

張崑崙書院的高桌晚宴以其獨特的文化魅力吸引了眾多師長和學子的參與。這次盛宴不僅提供了一次美食與音樂的享受,更為師生們營造了一個互相交流、共同成長的平台。張崑崙書院將繼續努力創造更加豐富多彩的學術與文化活動,啟發學生的全面發展和創新精神。

Cheong Kun Lun College successfully held its first high-table dinner of the semester, adding a rich cultural atmosphere on the eve of the Double Ninth Festival. The event brought together guests and students to enjoy a feast of food and music.

Prof. WONG Man Chung, Interim College Master of CKLC delivered a warm welcome speech on behalf of the College. He emphasized the college’s commitment to creating an environment that fosters personal growth and intellectual curiosity. During the dinner, Dr.Emilia Tang, who has made achievements in fields ranging from aerospace materials engineering to quantum computing materials chemistry to art collection and energy therapy, delivered a fascinating speech based on her experience of integrating knowledge across industries. Dr. Tang’s speech inspired students to recognize that interests are the best teachers and that continuous cultivation of creativity is essential for achieving their goals.

As the evening progressed, students delivered a refreshing performance of a Guzheng and Piano Trio, “Romantic Breeze of Spring,” as well as the College Band ‘The Night Wolves ’brought energetic band performances. Graduating students from The Night Wolves played the classic jazz piece, “Autumn Leaves,”. This melodious composition eloquently captured the essence of autumn, providing a perfect ending to the high table banquet.

CKLC High Table Dinner attracted numerous faculty members and students with its unique cultural charm. The event provided an opportunity for students to engage with their peers and faculty members while enjoying a night of fine food and music. The College anticipates hosting a myriad of diverse academic and cultural activities that will nurture personal growth and ignite intellectual curiosity among students.
