Objectives:
1. To interact with students from Guangzhou and learn about the traditional Chinese culture
2. To develop and strengthen interpersonal communication skills among students of the two universities
3. To experience cultural learning and be able to reflect and apply what students have learnt

In an effort to enhance the interaction between Jinan University (JNU) and University of Macau (UM), Jinan University (JNU) has invited Cheong Kun Lun College (CKLC) and Moon Chun Memorial College (MCMC) for a six-day visit to learn more about JNU and the city of Guangzhou.

Jinan University is a key comprehensive university which is listed in ‘211 Project’ and jointly constructed by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Guangdong Province. As the Paramount School of Overseas Chinese Students, JNU is always upholding the faith of diffusing the knowledge and caring for Overseas Chinese, the motto of loyalty, sincerity, integrity and respect, and the policy of international orientation especially towards Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

This cultural exchange programme facilitates exchanges of students from two universities. It also offers students an opportunity to learn more about Guangzhou , a large city with a history of over 2,000 years and once a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road. Through the programme, students will not only learn the rich tradition of “Ling-nan Culture” (嶺南文化) but also interact with JNU students for personal and professional development.
